History: in October 2007 the Environmental Work Group toured Root Cellars in the Butternut Valley: the aim was to understand traditional food preservation to lengthen the local food season.

Had this guy to my place a few years ago for a survey. Seemed knowledgeable and a decent guy. He also spoke a year or so ago as part of a tour of local sites that were, or were becoming, ecofriendly. CA
