TOOLS

EFFICIENCY

watt.jpgHmmmm.....how much energy does it take to use my laptop for an hour?

*Kill-A-Watt - tells you how much power anything electrical uses instantaneously or over time. Andy Goodell, goodella@hartwick.edu, 603-831-0356
*ScanGauge - device plugs into 1996+ cars and shows 13 extra gauges including miles per gallon (some compensation would be helpful) Andy Goodell, goodella@hartwick.edu, 603-831-0356
"Andy has purchased some tools for community use (above), lets use them to find out how much electricity we actually use, how much mileage we actually get!" Jennie

FOR OUTDOORS

FOOD GATHERING

*Pine Lake has APPLE PICKING TOOLS, contact Andy Goodell

FOOD PROCESSING

*Food dehydrator available, 5 racks tall. Can dry apples or plum fruit leather in a day, prunes in a few days. Contact Andy Goodell

Want to SHARE FOOD PREP, CANNING AND DEHYDRATION SUPPLIES? Contact Jennie Williams or Colleen Blacklock. We would like to buy a larger pot with a thick bottom, a huge pressure cooker for canning low acid foods and some food milling supplies together for this fall 2008. (Martha Bremer has a hand cider press she is not using....wondering how hard it would be to make it a bicycle style press?)
Want to CAN TOGETHER AT PINE LAKE?? We plan to run SECOND WORKSHOP there this fall, bring your tomatos, play music, talk and work together with us this coming fall 2008.
